Pricing & Fees
For Buyers/Renters: No subscription required. A 5% service fee is added at checkout to cover secure payment processing
For Sellers/Owners: FreeListing is 100% free. We only take a 10% commission when you get paid. This covers Stripe fees and platform marketing.
All transactions are protected by your payment provider (Stripe).
Production Hire
List What You Have - Best for: Vehicles, specialist props, and high-value equipment.
How it works: Browse the catalog and click "Inquire." Use the built-in messaging to discuss shoot dates, delivery logistics, and insurance.
Pricing: The owner will send you a Custom Quote based on your specific needs.
Payment: Once you accept the quote, payment is held securely by SceneSource until the hire is complete.
Buy
Buy Now: Direct Purchase
Ideal for: Outright ownership of props, stock, and equipment.
How it works: Look for the "Buy Now" tag. Add the item to your basket and complete your purchase through our secure payment gateway.
Cost: The price you see is the price you pay.
Fulfillment: After payment, you and the seller will arrange the most convenient delivery or collection method.
Bookings
Best for: Dance studios, rehearsal spaces, and filming locations.
How it works: Select your date and time directly on the listing's live calendar.
Pricing: Automated hourly or daily rates.
Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed instantly once payment is processed.
Damage Deposits Policy
Some items listed on SceneSource may require a refundable damage deposit. This is set by the individual vendor based on the value and nature of the item. How deposits work: -The deposit amount will be clearly stated before booking confirmation - Deposits are paid separately from the hire fee - Deposits are held by the vendor, not SceneSource Refunds: - Deposits are refunded after the item is returned and inspected - Refunds are typically processed within [X days] of return - If the item is returned damaged, incomplete, or late, the vendor may deduct costs from the deposit Important: - SceneSource does not hold or manage deposits - Any disputes regarding deposits are between the customer and the vendor - We recommend all users communicate clearly and document item condition before and after hire - By proceeding with a booking, you agree to these terms.
